Katie Greiner LMT, C.A.

Katie was born and raised in Portland, Oregon. She attended Saint Mary's Academy in downtown Portland, as well as Central Catholic High School. As an athlete, she played volleyball for ten years with Portland Volleyball Club, Nike Emerald City North, and Nike Northwest Juniors. With practice and tournaments 11 months out of the year, she turned to chiropractics and massage as her method of self-care. It was at a young age that she became interested in performing massage as a career, but initially decided to pursue an education in the Fine Arts at the University of Oregon, in Eugene.

Upon moving back to Portland a few years later, her draw toward massage therapy and healing arts increased. She began to research several different massage schools around the area before deciding upon the Everest Institute of Massage Therapy.

An enthusiastic student, she earned a 4.0 and President's List Honors while learning to perform a range of modalities. With her speciality in structural deep tissue, trigger point therapy, and sports massage, Katie also likes to incorporate more of the spiritual side of massage into her work, using instinct to locate troublesome muscles, tendons, and ligaments. This integrative bodywork allows her to perform true therapeutic work, all the while relaxing her clients to the point of deep sleep on her table.

Outside of her passion for massage therapy, Katie enjoys running, hiking, painting, travel, gourmet cooking, writing, playing a roll in the local Portland fashion community, and live music.

Lake Oswego Massage Therapy at Westlake Chiropractic

Do you suffer from chronic migraines or back pain? Have traditional treatments left you frustrated and still aching from pain? Massage therapy, as part of an overall wellness strategy, can provide relief from this pain while helping to promote healing within your body.

Westlake Chiropractic emphasizes improving your entire health in an effort to reduce the risk of pain and illness in the first place. Massage treatments from a certified massage therapist, combined with chiropractor care, hydrotherapy, and physiotherapy at our rehabilitation center, can provide relief from migraines, back pain, stress-related conditions, repetitive strain injuries, and other sources of chronic pain.

Massage therapists bring whole body wellness to Lake Oswego pain patients.
At our rehabilitation center, we don’t just treat symptoms. And we definitely don't bury symptoms under heavy medication. Our team believes in treating the body as a whole, fixing the underlying problem and working to prevent its . Massage therapy is an integral part of our whole body approach.

Here at our Lake Oswego rehabilitation center, our certified massage therapists use long, smooth strokes, kneading and other movements to improve blood flow and circulation, relieve muscle tension, pain and spasms, restore balance, and increase your flexibility, mobility and range of motion.

Lactic acid and other toxins naturally build up in our muscles. Massage therapy helps to flush out these toxins, reducing pain and stiffness in your muscles and joints.

This action brings fresh, oxygen-rich blood into the body tissues, improving your circulation and directly delivering nutrients to the parts of your body that need them the most. This detoxification process balances your immune system and promotes healing. Regular massage therapy also reduces stress by lowering levels of cortisol in your blood stream.

Our Lake Oswego patients choose Westlake Chiropractic because of our talented, professional and caring licensed massage therapists. Joey Jordan, a licensed massage therapist, is also an excellent communicator. He uses his training in martial arts and massage arts to bring balance and harmony back to your body. Katie Grenier, a licensed massage therapist, focuses on structural deep tissue, trigger point therapy and sports massage. Her innate ability to locate muscles, tendons and ligaments in need of healing allows Katie to perform true therapeutic miracles on many of our patients.

Lake Oswego patients also choose our rehabilitation center because of our comprehensive, whole body offerings. Our team believes that massage treatments are just one element of a broader treatment plan to address your underlying sources of pain and promote internal healing to prevent future pain. We also offer chiropractor care, physiotherapy and hydrotherapy onsite in our rehabilitation center.

A typical massage treatment lasts between 40 and 90 minutes. During this session, you may experience a mild aching sensation as our massage therapist applies pressure to sources of muscle tension. This mild ache is simply your body freeing itself of toxins and embracing the rush of oxygenated blood into your muscles. Following your massage, you should feel calm, centered and relaxed.
